| Hi.
Our names are Darek and Borka we are students from
Poland of fourth. and fifth year of Agricultural
University of Krakow. We decided to take a break in our
studies, so we could join the Concordia program and get
some work practice in England. Our goal was to earn some
money, learn English, meet interesting people, live in
and know different culture and get some work experience.
Concordia has a wide choice of farms but we feel
quite lucky to be here. From the beginning we had all
the information we wanted about the farm. Mr Howard
Braime was very helpful answering all our e-mails and
then after our arrival showing and explaining us
everything. Generally work on a farm is never easy, but
from our own, and our friends previous experience, we
know that this is the 'king of farms' where you would
like to work.
We work in glasshouses, mainly packing flowers and
generally taking care of them (planting, watering,
spacing, etc). We do not have to worry about the weather
although it can get sticky on hot days.
We are accommodated in caravans (see picture below) by
3-4 people. They are quite good, as gas and electricity
is included in the rent which is at the moment, £30 a
week.
That's very briefly how it is in here if you have
any questions, don't be afraid to contact the farm
you'll get answers to all your questions. We really
recommend this farm to everyone, people here are very
nice and helpful and the work is pleasant in the end its
flowers you're dealing with.
