Meet Guy, one of our management trainees on the MDS programme, and hear about his experiences below:“I am a graduate trainee quality/technical manager at Double H. The team I work in is constantly searching for new ways in which to better our growing techniques and crop management, whilst ensuring the quality of our outgoing product always remains high. I pursued a career in horticulture after studying biology at university; in particular the way in which cutting edge technology can be used to grow plants to their full potential has always fascinated me.”
“In the year I have spent at Double H, I have been allowed to fulfil my interests whilst developing my weaknesses, and at the same time gaining a good understanding of the horticultural and fresh produce industry.
I enjoy visiting suppliers in the UK and in Holland, and working with our customers to develop new and exciting products. I have been given some once-in-a-lifetime opportunities, including being part of a team that designed, built and manned a Gold Medal-winning Chelsea Flower Show exhibit. As a business, Double H are passionate about their products – I think everyone in the company shares an interest in plants, which helps channel this passion into our products at each step of the way.”
